 2007 Sand Sculpture Contest
The 75th annual Great Sand Castle Contest
Live music, Alfredo's famous BBQ, arts and crafts vendors, a kids zone and incredible sand sculptures all help to showcase one of the oldest sand castle contest in the USA. Making this a do not miss event. We have added a corp. challenge this year pitting area restaurants, city dept's. and realtors against each other for the coveted trophy and bragging rights.. Sand castle building classes are now forming.

REGISTRATION:
Pre-Registration is available, click here to download application.
On-Site registration will begin at 8:00 am. Team Captains shall
register for their teams. Plots will be available on the day of
the event, on a first come first serve basis.
AREA:
Each team will be provided a marked 15'x15' area. There shall be
no more then ten (10) participants in the area at any one time. All
areas will be monitored.
TIME:
9:00 am - 2:00 pm
TOOLS:
Any hand tools are permitted including shovels, buckets or vessels
of water. Molds are acceptable, but forms will not be permitted.
MATERIALS:
Only sand, seawater and other materials from the sea which are
found on the day of the event and onsite may be used. Hair spray,
paste-like substances or food coloring will not be permitted.
PROHIBITED SCULPTURES:
Sculptures depicting nudity or sexual acts are not allowed.
Sculptures which degrade or Ridicule mankind on the basis of
race,
religion
or
sexuality
will not be allowed. This a a family event use
good judgment.
JUDGING:
Sculptures will be judged on the basis of these three categories;
1) Creativity - Uniqueness of sculpture
2) Design - Difficulty of construction
3) Best overall - Display and concept (depicts the title) |

Corporate - $100.00
Club / Adult - $50.00
Family / Children's Group - $20.00
